HELLBOY: New R-Rated Sizzle Reel Brings the Gore

Read Time:1 Minute, 34 Second

Hellboy is coming to theaters this weekend, and JoBlo released a new R-rated trailer for the movie’s presumably last trailer. This trailer is blatantly full of gore, but check it out below.

This trailer definitely shows why Hellboy is rated R, with tons of gore and language to match the rating. David Harbour looks like he fits so well in the role, with an apathetic look to the character. Maybe it fits he was the only actor considered! The film looks so violent, and gorey and it is definitely creepy. We got a glimpse of all the different characters, and monsters involved in the movie. We get a great look at Mill Jovovich as the Blood Queen and Lobster Johnson played by Thomas Haden Church.

This film looks to reboot the Hellboy universe, and it involves plenty of characters that can help start that off. The film was inspired by Logan and Deadpool, two of Marvel’s gorey movies, which could be a good or bad thing depending on how the movie goes altogether. Guillermo del Toro decided this reboot was needed instead of moving forward and finishing his trilogy.

Hellboy is back, and he’s on fire. From the pages of Mike Mignola’s seminal work, this action packed story sees the legendary half-demon superhero (David Harbour) called to the English countryside to battle a trio of rampaging giants. There he discovers The Blood Queen, Nimue (Milla Jovovich), a resurrected ancient sorceress thirsting to avenge a past betrayal. Suddenly caught in a clash between the supernatural and the human, Hellboy is now hell-bent on stopping Nimue without triggering the end of the world.

Hellboy is in theaters April 12th. Are you excited for the movie? Does this trailer change your mind on it? Let us know in the comments below!
