JUSTICE LEAGUE Is Coming To A TV Near You Sooner Than You Might Think

Read Time:1 Minute, 42 Second

Feature films arriving on TV are certainly on an expedited schedule these days. I remember the old life cycle for a movie used to feel much longer. It would play in theaters for a couple of months, then several months later we’d get the home release, then the pay-per-view/On Demand release, then it would arrive on premium cable networks what felt like a long time later, then eventually end up- chopped up, with commercials- on basic cable. But the industry has been looking to speed up that process in recent years, and now there’s news that Justice League will be available on cable as soon as this July.

The film came out on November 17, 2017, and concluded its theatrical run somewhere around March 11 of this year. Meanwhile, the film became available as a digital download while it was still in select theaters on February 13. The Justice League blu-ray arrived on March 13. Now, on their newly-updated schedule, HBO has announced that the DC Comics team-up film will be available to watch on the network in almost exactly a month!

Justice League will arrive on HBO on July 7, at 8PM EST.

With the announcement, came this official description for the film:

When a monstrous super-villain thousands of years old returns to Earth with a diabolical plan, it’s up to Batman and Wonder Woman to piece together an all-star team of superheroes–including The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg–to save the day. But do they stand a chance with Superman in his grave?

It’s a putting-the-band-together origins movie, executed with great fun and energy” (Chicago Sun-Times).

Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J.K. Simmons, Ciaran Hinds, Amber Heard and Joe Morton. Directed by Zack Snyder; screenplay by Chris Terrio and Joss Whedon, story by Chris Terrio & Zack Snyder.

Will you be checking out Justice League when it arrives on HBO?
