Get A Low Key Look At Marvel’s LOKI

Read Time:1 Minute, 34 Second

One of the big properties contributing to Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+ is Marvel. They are developing several shows, including one focusing on The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Scarlet Witch and Vision, and Loki. Well, thanks to an image from a Disney investors meeting, we have a small look at the latter.

The person in focus is Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Behind him is a shot of Tom HIddleston’s Loki walking down the street. With the Jaws marquee in the background, that sets this somewhere in late 1975 or early 1976. That doesn’t mean that the entire series is set there however. Rumors are the plot revolves around Loki manipulating people during the big Earth events. So he could be in a different time period every episode.

If he is in the 70s, it could have something to do with the Vietnam War. That is one of, if not the biggest things to happen in the 70s. However, it could be something like Loki prevents the Vietnam War from becoming bigger, since he will have to be the hero of this story. While he is mischievous, the MCU has done masterful work in making him a sympathetic anti-hero of sorts. I highly doubt Loki will retcon that. However, if this takes place with 2012 Loki after the events of the time travel stuff in Avengers: Endgame, maybe he hasn’t been quite redeemed yet, so he can be a bit more on the evil side than we have seen him as of late.

I am excited for all three confirmed MCU shows currently in development (4 if you count Hawkeye, but Marvel hasn’t confirmed that one like the others yet). This one seems like it can be the most unique of the bunch, and that is exciting. Disney+ will launch in November. Loki is supposed to debut shortly after.
