Brian Tyree Henry In Talks For A QUIET PLACE 2

Read Time:1 Minute, 35 Second

John Krasinski impressed critics and moviegoers alike last year with the breakout horror film A Quiet Place, which our very own MFR praised highly upon release. With the film’s success at the box office, it didn’t take very long for a sequel to be green lit with Krasinski back to pen the script and in the director’s chair as well as wife Emily Blunt reprising her role as the family matriarch along with child actors Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. Earlier this year, it was reported that longtime Christopher Nolan collaborator Cillian Murphy had joined the cast to play “a man with mysterious intentions.” Now another actor has joined the followup!

The Wrap reports that Atlanta and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse co-star Brian Tyree Henry is in talks to join the cast of A Quiet Place 2 in a currently unknown role. Likewise story details currently remain under wraps for now.

Personally I only really know Henry from his voice acting performance as police officer Jefferson Davis, the father of Miles Morales, in the aforementioned Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. While the character had no superpowers, I think most viewers would agree that Jefferson’s role in the story was easily one of the highlights of the film. Henry’s performance helped sell the character’s humor and several of the more heart-wrenching moments in the film. If you haven’t watched this masterpiece, it will be on Netflix later this month, so be sure to check it out!

While we don’t currently know yet what sort of character Henry will be playing in A Quiet Place 2, I have a feeling that if he plays a character who has the central family’s interests at heart, he’ll bring the same warmth and humor that he did with Jefferson Davis last year.
