Watch The First Teaser Trailer For DC’s SWAMP THING

Read Time:1 Minute, 21 Second

Swamp Thing will be the next live action show offered by the DC Universe streaming service. There have been a lot of stories surrounding it, but now we have something pure in the form of a brand new teaser trailer. Check it out:

James Wan is good at horror, and you can see his influence all over this. It looks very promising. This will probably be the thing that makes me subscribe to the service, assuming they get a handle on whatever issues forced them to cut the season short.

But judging just off of this footage, it looks like one of the best things DC has ever produced for the small screen. My bias towards wanting RJ Cyler in everything certainly helps, but every frame had a treat for the eyes. You can tell all of the talent involved put their all into this. It is a shame DC doesn’t seem to feel the same way.

From what I gather, people seemed hit and miss with Titans, but really enjoy Doom Patrol. This could have continued to add to the momentum, but I’m afraid the baggage that comes with it will taint the vision of the show. Hopefully most people won’t notice.

Swamp Thing will premiere on May 31st only on the DC Universe app.

SWAMP THING follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.
