A New Poster And TV Spot Are Out For TOY STORY 4!!!

The arrival of Toy Story 4 is rapidly approaching. Like many other children of the 1990s, the Toy Story trilogy was a cornerstone of my formative years. The original saw routine replays in my family’s old VHS player and the official video game adaptation of Toy Story 2 was one of the trickiest and memorable games I played as a child. Then the third film came out over a decade later, right as I was nearing the end of my time in high school not unlike Andy in the film itself. So with all of that emotional baggage baked in, I’ve always been a bit hesitant on the idea of Pixar making a fourth entry in the series and haven’t been quite as sold by any of the trailers as I’d have liked.

However Pixar has released a new TV spot for the film and a poster to match it! Watch the new TV spot below!

If nothing else, the humor revolving around the volatile cat and the toys’ horrified reactions to their slain brethren ahead felt on point. However I’m still not sure if I am onboard yet with the story. I love that Bo Peep is back, but thematically the footage thus far feels a bit like a retread of Woody’s character arc in the second film. However we will have to wait until the summer to see for sure if the film will ultimately click or not.
