The Avengers Have One More Promise To Keep In New AVENGERS: ENDGAME Promo

Marvel Studios has released a recap of its unprecedented Infinity Saga ahead of next weeks’ release of the final film in that series Avengers: Endgame along with a plot description for the new film. While there are no real spoilers here, it does have some Endgame footage if you are trying to avoid it. If not, you can check it out right here:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Kevin Feige produces “Avengers: Endgame,” and Anthony and Joe Russo are the directors. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Trinh Tran, Jon Favreau, James Gunn and Stan Lee are the executive producers, and Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely wrote the screenplay.

The video shows scenes of previous films that make up some of the most pivotal characters in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It starts with Iron Man, pivots to Captain America, then highlights Thor, The Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange before offering some cuts of other heroes in the film. It then lists the 21 films that have led to this moment. It also has a bit of new footage from Endgame, and remixes some already familiar quotes to fans of the franchise. While it is definitely a commercial for Marvel’s catalog, it is affective as an Endgame hype machine too.

While it may be the final film in the Infinity Saga. It isn’t the final film from Marvel Studios or the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just two months after Endgame hits theaters, Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will begin with Spider-Man: Far From Home and will presumably mark the beginning of a new story for universe as a whole.
