The Russos Would Be Tempted To Make SECRET WARS For Marvel

Read Time:1 Minute, 38 Second

Is it April 26th yet? Unfortunately not but with all the promotion going on for Avengers: Endgame, information is coming in on a daily basis from everyone involved.  That will have to do until the film actually hits theaters. What is so bitter sweet about Avengers: Endgame is that it is a conclusion in some way, shape or form.  For some actors and actresses, this will be their last film in the MCU and the same goes for the filmmakers.  However, the Russo brothers do not completely shut the door on an MCU return in the future. They are set to take a break after Endgame but in an interview with MTV, they mentioned the story that would lure them back to the comic book world. The clip can be seen below, but the relevant bit is quoted in case you can’t watch.

“I keep saying Secret Wars ’cause that was one of the first books that I really fell in love with as a kid…this notion of event storytelling. That’s part of the reason that we gravitate so strongly towards these event films and these ensemble films is that the notion that you can contain so many different characters, and so many different points of view, and galvanize them around a story point is really compelling to us.”

That is huge news considering this is the same duo who gave us Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.  To say they will be missed is a complete understatement. They are trailblazers who will have left behind great films for the world to enjoy at their leisure.  With the quote above, they leave the door open to a return of course but it also provides fans with hope that in their return they might deliver on yet another epic story arc within Marvel comics.

Can you see the Russo Bros returning for Secret Wars?
