The Top 5 Movie Reboots Ever

Read Time:10 Minute, 10 Second

3. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

Okay, this one may be controversial. We’ve had great Spider-Man movies before. Sam Raimi’s trilogy (yes, all three of them) and even Marc Webb’s ill-fated Amazing Spider-Man reboot and its sequel all had their share of wonderful Spidey moments.

Yet, it wasn’t until 2016’s Captain America: Civil War that comic book fans realized just how much they’d yearned for a Spider-Man that’s fully integrated into a wider Marvel universe. Let’s not forget that one of webhead’s first acts in the comics was to try and join the Fantastic Four.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is slightly divisive (at least as far as MCU movies go), but it adds a new dimension to Spider-Man’s cinematic mythology as well as a level of comic book accuracy that MCU naysayers can be quick to overlook.

Spider-Man, for all his devoted followers, is an underdog character. That’s what makes him resonate so strongly with so many of us. He endures the same struggles that we do… With the added pressure of having to exchange blows with Doctor Octopus and the Sandman. While he may get to mix it up with the Avengers every now and then, he’s still a wide eyed kid, staring up at the Gods in awe like the rest of us.

Oh, and also…

Michael Keaton, Michael Keaton, Michael Keaton.
