The extremely secretive Marvel Studios has been even more tight lipped than ever with its upcoming film and conclusion to the newly minted Infinity Saga, Avengers: Endgame. They didn’t even release the title until December of last year and we have only recently gotten a somewhat extended look at the film in trailers that, apparently, are from a small part of the film. Now, just weeks before the film releases in theaters, Marvel has released the synopsis in a press release.
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”
Avengers: Infinity War saw half of the Avengers and the rest of the population of the entire universe wiped out after Thanos had retrieved all six infinity stones. Among the survivors are the six original Avengers along with some other heroes that we have encountered along the way. Being true to form when it comes to this film, Marvel is revealing about as much as we already know about the much anticipated sequel.
In fact, the Russos revealed that they intentionally manipulated shots to mislead us, just like they did in the Infinity War trailer. If you remember that one, it shows Hulk running towards the fight in Wakanda. When the movie hit, we realized that was a misdirect, as Banner was using the Hulkbuster armor. The misdirect could be anything from Natasha’s hair, to the quick Captain Marvel appearance. Your guess is as good as ours. We won’t know until the movie hits theaters.
If you are like us, the less you know the better! We can’t wait for Avengers: Endgame to be released on April 26!
