The first official trailer for Toy Story 4 has been released! It looks like another adventure for Woody and friends as they meet a new toy for their current human child, Bonnie. Check out the trailer below!
Well? What did y’all think? We meet Forky, a toy that doesn’t want to be a toy. The new look for Bo Peep is awesome, and we see her new attitude on life. We don’t hear Mr. Potato head, so Matt’s reveal of some unannounced cast members back in February who could be taking on the Mr. Potato Head role has yet to be confirmed. Bo Peep and Woody reunite and realize their opinions on life and being toys differ now. Then we see Forky, a huge pessimist I’m not sure I quite like. Together Woody, Forky and Bo Peep confront the existential crisis on life as toys.
This looks like an attempt to mimic the beginning of the original movie, with Woody being lost on the road. But that seems to be about it as the rest of the toy gang is trying to rescue Woody. I am loving Bo Peep’s new lease on life. She’s become take charge and doesn’t care and that’s awesome.
Toy Story 4 hits theaters June 21 of this year
Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.
