As the countdown continues to dwindle down to the release date of Avengers: Endgame, fans are slowly starting to get more information about the film- limited as it may be. The first trailer was released back in December and fans finally got a brief followup last week with the new Super Bowl spot. We also heard recently that the latest cut of the film is still clocking in at around three hours long. Considering the amount of work cut out for the heroes that survived the conclusion of last year’s Infinity War, this really shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to fans.
And now the latest and small nugget of information on Avengers: Endgame has surfaced! Disney’s Australian website reportedly posted an official synopsis for the film on their page for the film along with the first trailer, movie poster and a counter to the film’s release date. However it appears to have since been taken down.
Thanks to the help of Comicbook.com, the synopsis has survived elsewhere though and reads as follows:
“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.“
Truth be told, the synopsis doesn’t give away much aside from confirming what anyone who’s been paying attention to other upcoming MCU films have known since Infinity War hit theaters last year. The victims of the Snap will be brought back somehow, but the hook of Avengers: Endgame will be seeing how the surviving heroes figure out how to pull it off and finally defeat Thanos.
Also, thanks to Orville Redenbacher’s website, we were given a decent look at the surviving team:
