Watch A New Trailer For ARROW’s Mid-Season Premiere!

Read Time:1 Minute, 53 Second

Oliver Queen barely got out of prison before he became The Flash and met Batwoman in Elseworlds. Then Arrow went on hiatus for over a month after that. But next week, the show returns for the rest of its stellar 7th season.

When we last left, we discovered a new Queen sibling, who has taken up the moniker of “The Green Arrow”. Now The CW has released an extended look at the mid-season return, cleverly titled “My Name Is Emiko Queen”. You can watch it below.

There is a lot to unpack here, but the two things to take away is that Rene starts working with Emiko, and that Oliver vows to always be on the side of the law. I assume both of those things will come into play.

Emiko is a fairly new character, introduced in DC’s New 52. In the comics, she is much younger, and the daughter of Robert Queen and Shado. Obviously that won’t happen here as those two characters never met, so the origins of her mother will be different. She is also closer to Oliver’s age in this version, so there will be some mystery surrounding her character, regardless of how much you know about her.

The first part of the season was incredible. Between the prison story and the flash forwards, Arrow was doing some of its best work. Hopefully they can keep that momentum going the rest of the season.

Arrow returns Monday at 8/7c only on The CW.

“There has been no shortage of close calls for Oliver Queen when it comes to protecting his Super Hero identity, but in the season six finale, he was finally backed into a corner and forced to reveal himself to the world as the Green Arrow. Now, Oliver will come face-to-face with many of the criminals he placed behind bars, as he makes a new home for himself at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.”
