Toby Kebbell Joins M. Night Shyamalan’s Upcoming Apple Series

Read Time:1 Minute, 31 Second

Toby Kebbell is one of my favorite actors out there right now. His performance as Koba in Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was nothing short of phenomenal and he also made for a terrific King Kong in last year’s Kong: Skull Island. In the near future, Kebbell is also set to star as the villain in the upcoming Bloodshot movie. After that, it would seem that M. Night Shyamalan has set his sights on enlisting Kebbell’s talents for an upcoming project.

Reports are in that Kebbell has joined the cast of Shyamalan’s upcoming untitled psychological thriller series for Apple. While details on the show are still well under wraps to the point where we still don’t even know the series’ title is yet, reports are that Kebbell plays a professional chef named Sean Turner, who along with his wife Dorothy (played by Lauren Ambrose), hires a nanny to babysit their child.

I’m rather excited for this show, despite not knowing much at the moment. Shyamalan, who will executive produce the series and direct its first episode, seems to have made a rather impressive turnaround recently after all. Plus I’m always happy to see Kebbell in more films or shows. With this show reportedly being a psychological thriller of some sort, I would imagine that Kebbell’s acting chops will be put to good use.

Before that though, Shyamalan’s work can next be seen in January when Glass hits theaters. The movie, starring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson and James McAvoy is the conclusion to the Unbreakable/Split trilogy. The film looks solid, and if the trailer is anything to go by, we are in for a treat.
