Box Office: Wreck It Ralph Wrecks It Again!
There wasn’t much change in the top five from last week to this week, with two family movies leading the charge, so Wreck-It Ralph remains the champ!
Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet easily took the number one spot for the second week in a row with $25.7 million. That’s a drop of 54% from last week, which is expected after such a large holiday opening. It’s now at $119.2 million domestic.
The Grinch rose one spot from last week to come in at number two with $17.7 million. It’s now at $203.5 million domestic.
Creed II dropped one spot to number three with $16.8 million and a drop of 52% from its opening weekend. The first Creed finished its domestic run with $109 million. Expect the sequel to end its run a little north of that.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald held steady at number four with $11.2 million. It’s now at $134.4 million, and will take its predecessor’s spot as the lowest grossing film in J. K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
$8.1 million was enough for Bohemian Rhapsody to stay at number five. It’s grossed a remarkable $164.4 million domestically, and has broken the $500 million mark internationally.
With no major competition debuting next week, Ralph Breaks the Internet should maintain the top spot.
