The Mandalorian

THE MANDALORIAN Will Have A Cool ROGUE ONE Connection (Spoilers!)

Read Time:1 Minute, 56 Second

This could be considered a spoiler for the upcoming Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian, and I don’t want to ruin the experience for anyone. So please click away if you don’t want to know. Perhaps you can check out our tribute to Stan Lee instead.

Jason Ward over at MakingStarWars has had a ton of great intel regarding The Mandalorian. He broke the Pedro Pascal news first, and now he has another report.

Spoilers!

.

Ward is reporting that the Death Troopers from Rogue One will make an appearance:

“The last few days at the location of Star Wars: The Mandalorian have been pretty cool to say the least. Today I witnessed what I think was the Mandalorian himself, in half a costume, coming out of the door pictured below. It didn’t look like Pedro Pascal so it was likely his stand-in. He appears to have some kind of skirmish with some Imperials. However, the coolest part is that based on what I observed, it appears we will see a Mandalorian fighting a Death Trooper like the one we saw in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. If you’re an armored character fan, that’s a dream fight right there.

This is not the first Death Trooper I have seen on the set of The Mandalorian in the last 24 hours. But I will say, there are times it can be slightly confusing if I’m looking at an Imperial Officer, an Imperial Grounds Crew member, or a Death Trooper if they aren’t totally geared up. I’m pretty sure the guy below is one of the Death Troopers and he also appears to be much taller than the Stormtroopers as his side.”

Take this with a grain of salt, as it could be something else, but he seems sure they are involved somewhere.

The Mandalorian takes place after Return Of The Jedi. Which means the Death Troopers have existed that long. It is possible that a scavenger found the armor and are wearing it, instead of being a real Death Trooper, but it’s a great connection regardless.

What do you make of this? Are you excited to see Mandalorians clash with Death Troopers?
