Dwayne Johnson Reveals Details On Vanessa Kirby’s Character In HOBBS AND SHAW

It was announced a couple months back that The Crown‘s Vanessa Kirby would be joining the Fast And Furious spinoff Hobbs And Shaw. It was also announced that Kirby would be playing a member of the Shaw family. Now Dwayne Johnson has reiterated that fact on Instagram.

And not in that order.
Hattie also happens to be the sister of Deckard Shaw, who’s played by @jasonstatham.
It tortures him that his sister Hattie is kickin’ it with Hobbs.
His pain 😈 makes me very happy.
But what makes me happier is welcoming this crazy talented actress and cool chick to our movie.

Johnson is teasing something of a romantic relationship with Shaw’s sister. That is sure to make some fun moments between Hobbs and Shaw. They tapped into something special when they teamed up in Fate Of The Furious. While a Hobbs spinoff has been in the works since his introduction in Fast Five, the addition of Jason Statham’s Shaw to the mix is a stroke of genius. It definitely adds a much needed layer of levity to the movie. Throw in Idris Elba as the villain, and this movie sounds like a ton of fun.

The movie is being directed by Deadpool 2 and John Wick director David Leitch. It is being filmed now, and the only things we’ve seen from the flick so far is from Johnson himself.

We have known about Kirby’s Shaw for a while now. But her potential relationship with Hobbs is intriguing.

Hobbs And Shaw will hit theaters July 26, 2019.
