STAR TREK DISCOVERY: Watch A New Trailer For The Second Season!

Read Time:1 Minute, 34 Second

New York Comic Con happened this weekend, and one of the things that came out of it was a look at the second season of Star Trek: Discovery that offered our first look at Ethan Peck as Spock. You can watch it below.

I don’t have a CBS All Access subscription, so I have not been able to watch the full season. I do not consider myself a “Trekkie” but do enjoy the franchise, and this looks like a lot of fun to me. Spock is such an iconic character, and we saw him reinvented once in the movies with Zachary Quinto, who did an amazing job. I am curious to see how audiences react to yet another take on the character.

Between the involvement of Pike and Spock, this season should feel a bit more “familiar” to long time Trek fans. There is lots to look forward to if you want more Star TrekPatrick Stewart is returning as Picard in his own CBS All Access series soon. So you will have a lot of Star Trek for your buck if you subscribe.

What do you think of this trailer? Is the second season shaping up to be better than the first? Let us know.

The second season of Star Trek: Discovery returns to CBS All Access on January 17.

Created by Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman for CBS All Access, the story of “Star Trek: Discovery” begins roughly a decade before Captain Kirk’s five-year mission — as portrayed in the original “Star Trek” from the 1960s — and a century before the events of “Star Trek: Enterprise.” The series follows the crew of the USS Discovery as they encounter new worlds and civilizations, delving into familiar themes and expanding upon an incident that has been talked about within the franchise’s universe, but never fully explored.
