JOHN WICK: Director Chad Stahelski Teases Ninjas In Chapter 3!
The John Wick film series starring Keanu Reeves is pretty great. Chapter 2 ended on quite the cliffhanger, and Chapter 3 is filming now. Director Chad Stahelski talked to Empire about what to expect in a movie that fans are very excited about.
“[The film will have] horses, dogs, cats, a raven, a bunch of pigeons, a motorcycle chase, car chase, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, shotguns and ninjas”.
I never knew I wanted to see Keanu Reeves kill modern day ninjas, but I want that very very much. The movie sounds insane. Fans are already excited after seeing Wick ride a horse through a bunch of cars in New York City.
John Wick: Chapter 3 will have a global feel to it, with Wick being hunted all around the world. The first movie was one of the most unforgiving action movies I had ever seen, and while the second one had a bit more fantastical and over the top sequences, it was still high octane, and very intense. From what we know about this installment, it seems like it will up the ante.
The franchise might not end after this however. There have been rumors of a TV show focusing on the hotel, and various other spinoffs. So we will have to wait an see. I wouldn’t be surprised if the story of John Wick himself came to end here though.
The cast is stellar. The action is unlike anything audiences have seen before. The franchise is really a gem, and hopefully John Wick: Chapter 3 will live up to the very high standards.
I am very excited for this. It will be one of my most anticipated movies of next summer. It should probably be on your list too.
Do the notions of ninjas and horses in New York City make you stoked for this?
John Wick: Chapter 3 opens in theaters everywhere on May 17, 2019.
John Wick (Keanu Reeves) is on the run for two reasons… he’s being hunted for a global $14 million dollar open contract on his life, and for breaking a central rule: taking a life on Continental Hotel grounds. The victim was a member of the High Table who ordered the open contract. John should have already been executed, except the Continental’s manager, Winston, has given him a one-hour grace period before he’s “Excommunicado” – membership revoked, banned from all services and cut off from other members. John uses the service industry to stay alive as he fights and kills his way out of New York City.
