Come Get Your First Look At Sylvester Stallone In RAMBO 5!

Sylvester Stallone is going on one last mission as John Rambo, in Rambo 5– or as we like to call it: Last Blood– the fifth film in the action franchise.

Filming began this week, and Stallone took to Instagram to give us our first look at Rancher Rambo:

If you’ve seen the last film in the series, titled simply Rambo, you know that it ended with John Rambo returning home to his family’s farm.

The Rambo series began in 1982 with First Blood. The film was based on David Morrell’s novel and follows the a former Green Beret and Vietnam Vet as he is pursued by a small town sheriff. The flick was a hit and was followed by three increasingly violent sequels: Rambo: First Blood Part II in 1985, Rambo III in 1988, and Rambo in 2008.

Here’s the synopsis for Rambo 5:

“Rambo teams up with a journalist to track down and rescue a group of local girls that have been kidnapped by a Mexican sex trafficking ring, after trying to settle down to a quiet peaceful life stateside at the family ranch in Arizona after spending decades abroad.”

If you haven’t read Morrell’s book do yourself a favor an pick it up. While the series is known for its violence, the book is actually wonderful character study of a war veteran returning home and having trouble adjusting to civilian life.
