Wonder Woman Gal Gadot Joins The Cast of WRECK IT RALPH 2
If anything breaks the internet, this will. Gal Gadot is in the middle of filming Wonder Woman 1984, but you will be able to see – or rather hear – her in something else soon. She is officially part of the Disney machine, as Gadot has announced that she will be in this year’s Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2.
Gadot took to Twitter to announce it:
I’m so excited to finally announce that I am playing a character named Shank in Disney’s #RalphBreaksTheInternet hitting theaters this November! Such an amazing experience to be apart of this project with such great creators and cast! Welcome to Slaughter Race! 🏎🏁😉 pic.twitter.com/MxLuWFPJ0L

You can see her character in action in the sneak peek from Disney below:
This movie looks jam packed, they even got a Pixar joke in there! It is nice to see Gadot – who almost quit acting all together before landing the Wonder Woman role – do other projects in between superhero ones.
I am curious as to whether she will serve as a love interest to Ralph, or if she will be a role model for Vanellope. Maybe it will be both.
The first trailer was bonkers, and definitely sold me. Disney seems to be willing to make fun of themselves (within reason) and are using Ralph Breaks The Internet to do so. Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and the Disney Princesses are all represented in the movie. While the Disney Princess sequence looks to be the highlight of the movie, we seem to be in for a few surprises as well.
This is the first animated feature that Gadot has done. Hopefully it opens doors for her to do more of it.
The clunkily titled Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck It Ralph 2 hits theaters on November 21st, in time for Thanksgiving.
“Ralph Breaks the Internet” leaves Litwak’s video arcade behind, venturing into the uncharted, expansive and thrilling world of the internet—which may or may not survive Ralph’s wrecking. Video game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman) must risk it all by traveling to the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope’s video game, Sugar Rush. In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet—the Netizens—to help navigate their way, including Yesss (voice of Taraji P. Henson), who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of the trend-making site “BuzzzTube,” and Shank (voice of Gal Gadot), a tough-as-nails driver from a gritty online auto-racing game called Slaughter Race.
