WONDER WOMAN 1984 Production Is Returning To A Familiar Location For The Sequel
The first solo cinematic adventure of Diana Prince had plenty of Superman: The Movie in its DNA, and the portion of the film that acted as “Our naive hero’s introduction to the loud hustle and bustle of a major city” supplanted London for Metropolis. The noisy, crowded city- filled with babies and ice cream for Diana to marvel at- was a place filled with people and situations she had trouble understanding, and now it looks like she’ll be returning there in Wonder Woman 1984.
According to Geek Devil, the Patty Jenkins-led Wonder Woman 1984 production is currently setting up shop for a few days of filming in London town.

It should be noted, though, that what they’re planning to film over there doesn’t appear to actually be set in London. If you pay attention to the car pictured in that tweet of the St. Andrews Place filming location, you’ll see it has a Virginia license plate and that the steering wheel is on the left side of the dashboard. This means that whatever is being filmed specifically at this location is likely meant to take place in Washington, D.C.
It makes sense, since so much of what we’ve seen from set pictures and videos so far from Wonder Woman 1984 shows that the USA’s capital city will feature prominently in the film.
I’m secretly hopeful that some of the film is set in London, too, because some of my favorite parts of the first Wonder Woman involved her dealings with stiff-lipped Brits.
While London has housed many WB/DC productions lately, it looks like that may be changing in the new year. Word on the street that is that Birds of Prey and The Flash will primarily be housed in Atlanta, Georgia when they start filming next year.
