The CREED II Trailer (And Poster) Is Here!

Read Time:1 Minute, 30 Second

Creed was one of the best movies of 2015, and a spinoff that I never knew I wanted or needed. But Michael B. Jordan made me care about Rocky and his world again, and now he’s back! Watch the Creed II trailer below:

The plot revolves around Creed fighting Ivan Drago’s son. Drago, for those that don’t know, is the one who killed Adonis Creed’s father, Apollo. So the fight can’t be much more personal than that. The trailer certainly leans on the personal aspect of Creed’s life, and the struggles he is still going through internally. There was no sign of Dolph Lungren in the trailer, but he is definitely in the movie. Creed is finally crawling out of the shadow of his father. Will fighting a Drago make that journey better or worse?

Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker wrote the script, and Steven Caple Jr is directing – taking the reigns from Ryan Coogler, who did not return for the second chapter.

So what do you think of the trailer? A new poster debuted as well:

Creed 2

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life. Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family. Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

Creed II hits theaters November 21, 2018.
