The HALLOWEEN Trailer Is Finally Here!

Read Time:1 Minute, 34 Second

Without further ado:

Full disclosure: I am not a fan of the horror genre, generally speaking. But I do like a great story. Two of my favorite films last year classified as horror – Get Out and Split. I also thoroughly enjoyed IT. After watching this, it makes me want to go back and see the original Halloween movie. That is how awesome this trailer is. Jamie Lee Curtis returns to the franchise, and it looks like she is going to be the best part.

Maybe I am slowly becoming a horror fan. I use to discount the genre completely, but now I am open to it if it provides a great story. I need more than jump scares and gore for shock value. Blumhouse seems to be great at providing that, so I am always on the look out for what they do next. Jason Blum helped produce this, which makes sense why I liked the trailer so much.

What do you think of the trailer? If you are a fan of the franchise, does it live up to your expectations? If these movies were never really on your radar, did this win you over?

Halloween opens October 19, 2018.

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Master of horror John Carpenter executive produces and serves as creative consultant on this film, joining forces with cinema’s current leading producer of horror, Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, The Purge, Paranormal Activity). Inspired by Carpenter’s classic, filmmakers David Gordon Green and Danny McBride crafted a story that carves a new path from the events in the landmark 1978 film, and Green also directs.
