Wilson Bethel Rumored to Play Bullseye In The Third Season of DAREDEVIL

Read Time:1 Minute, 40 Second

Wilson Bethel was confirmed to appear in the third season of Daredevil back in November. At the time, Variety reported he was playing “a critical role” as a federal agent.

The exact character Bethel is playing is being kept under wraps. It is known, however, that he will portray an FBI agent who will play a critical role in the conflict between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, better known as Daredevil and Kingpin respectively.

It seems that our friends over at ThatHashtagShow have unwrapped it. They are reporting that Bethel will play a “grounded” version of Daredevil villain Bullseye.

Everything about Daredevil on Netflix is “grounded” so Bethel’s portrayal will be a vast departure from Colin Farrell’s campy over-the-top performance in the 2003 movie starring Ben Affleck.

Both reports could be true. Superhero TV shows and movies are known to change origins of characters to better fit the narrative. Bringing a new background to Bullseye is easily believable.

A quick bio from Wikipedia might give you an idea on what to expect if you aren’t familiar with the character:

Bullseye is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A psychopathic assassin, Bullseye uses the opportunities afforded by his line of work to exercise his homicidal tendencies and to work out his own personal vendetta against Daredevil.

Although he possesses no superpowers, Bullseye is able to use almost any object as a lethal projectile, be it weapons like shuriken and sai or seemingly harmless objects like playing cards and pencils. His marksmanship is uncanny, at a nearly supernatural level, but he has been known to miss moving targets.

They can definitely mine some great stuff out of that, and incorporate it into his FBI marksmen training or something. If Bullseye will shoot at Daredevil, maybe Frank Castle can show up again to help….or make things worse. The character brings in a plethora of possibilities.

What do you think? Are you excited to see Bullseye in Daredevil?
