New Footage Shown of FANTASTIC BEASTS: THE CRIMES OF GRINDELWALD at CinemaCon

Read Time:1 Minute, 11 Second

Warner Bros had a big day at CinemaCon yesterday. Part of their day was dedicated to the upcoming Wizarding World sequel: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.

The footage, it seems, got a big laugh. Variety has a description of the scene, which could be considered a minor spoiler if you want to go in fresh.

[T]he bumbling Scamander faces a Boggart (a malevolent, shapeshifting spirit) and a desk appears. Dumbledore explains that it’s manifested as Scamander’s fear: having to work an office job.

That does sound amusing, and very in line with Rowling’s humor. The star of the film, Eddie Redmayne, was in attendance, and commented that he was excited for this movie because “This film, I get to go to Hogwarts, which is the best thing!

That is a plus, being able to visit the most iconic location of the world – it is akin to Rey and Finn boarding the Millennium Falcon in The Force Awakens.

My expectations are tempered, ever since I saw the trailer (which you can see HERE). There are several things in it that I have an issue with, as a fan of the Wizarding World, but that is for another post, another time. I am still curious and that footage sounds like there are still fun moments to be had.

We’ll see for sure when Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald comes out November 16th, 2018.
