SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY Gets a New TV Spot, and Run Time is Revealed

Read Time:1 Minute, 41 Second

We are very close to the next Star Wars movie, which as you know, is a prequel about young Han Solo. Disney has just released a new 45 second TV Spot for the movie which you can watch below:

Well, that was fun. I have maintained for months that Donald Glover’s Lando will steal this film, but now it looks like Chewbacca might instead. Chewbacca is my favorite character in the series, so I am very okay with this. The more I see from this film, the more excited I get. It looks like a fun adventure movie.

Plus, is it me, or is Han ever the optimist until he meets Chewie? “You think everything sounds like a bad idea”. Maybe that state of mind rubs off on him, and Chewbacca is the reason we get the grumpy smuggler we know and love.

The music sounds interesting, and very in line with the tone the movie is trying to sell, if that is from the actual film. The cast seems fun, and the aesthetics are awesome. We might be in for a treat here, ladies and gentlemen.

How long of a treat was always another question, but now that seems to be answered as well. Solo is going to premiere at Cannes Film Festival, and their website lists the film with a run time of 2 hours and 15 minutes (135 minutes). Most of the Star Wars films are anywhere between 2 and 2 and a half hours, so this fits right in.

Out of all of the Disney-made Star Wars movies, this was the one I was least excited about. But now, the marketing has done what it was supposed to do, and I cannot wait until May 25th to see this.

With Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 coming out before Solo it will make the wait just a little bit easier.

What did you make of the TV Spot? Are you excited for this movie now?
