Stephen Amell Wants ARROW to Crossover With BLACK LIGHTNING Just Like The Rest Of Us Do

Read Time:1 Minute, 51 Second

Say what you will about the state of the DCEU, but there is no denying, the CW corner of the DC Universe is thriving. The Godfather of that universe, Stephen Amell – who has played Oliver Queen since 2012 – wants the universe to become even bigger.

The ‘Arrowverse’ contains Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. It then brought Supergirl into the mix, even though she is on a different Earth, thanks to the alternate Earth storylines of The Flash. The CW premiered Black Lightning this year, and it has been a huge success. While answering questions at Awesome Con in Washington DC, Amell had this to say about Black Lightning.

“Everyone pretends like we’re not going to eventually cross over with Black Lightning but we’re probably gonna cross over with Black Lightning because that’s just the way that the world works.”

He’s right. While the show was designed to be separate, there is no reason Cisco can’t open a portal to the alternate Earth where Jefferson Pierce is and bring him over from a crossover. Black Lightning has made references to Supergirl and Vixen on the show, proving there are alt-versions of some of the other CW heroes on that Earth. It isn’t out of the realm of possibility. So even if it isn’t a crossover, Amell could still show up as that Earth’s Green Arrow. He is keen to be a part of the show in any regard:

“Yeah, I would love to. I think that anything you can do to expand the universe and to build out what we’ve built on our show would be great. So, I’m glad that show’s doing well, I hope that it has a very successful run, and I would love to be a small part of it in some way shape, or form.”

I watch the entire Arrowverse, as well as Black Lightning. It would be brilliant if they crossed over. Especially once Jefferson’s daughters are fleshed out as heroes. The three of them reacting to the rest of the Arrowverse would be entertaining television.

What do you think? Do you want to see Black Lightning crossover with Arrow and the rest? Or is it better and stronger by itself?
