Warner Bros is finally letting Superman flex his muscle…. in their marketing anyway. In anticipation for the March 13 Blu-ray and DVD release of Justice League, Warner Bros has finally put out marketing material that shows off Superman’s role in the film.
Superman’s involvement in Justice League was one of Warner Bros. worst kept secrets. Nonetheless in trailers and ads leading up to the Justice League’s release they kept Superman footage to a bare minimum.
This home release of the film comes with two minutes of deleted scenes that are Superman-centric. It also arrives at a time when rumors and fervor for a “Zack Snyder” cut of the film. One of the many criticisms of the film was the choppy return and arc of Superman. While it is probable that Warner Bros. will avoid sinking the kind of money that calls for an alternative cut of a film that was a critical and commercial disappointment, this home release will surely add more plutonium to the fan-fire.
Justice League arrives on Blu-ray and DVD on March 13. It is currently available on Digital HD download.
