Superman Gets The Spotlight In New JUSTICE LEAGUE Character Poster

Read Time:1 Minute, 32 Second

Superman may have been missing for much of the Justice League marketing leading to its theatrical release, but Warner Bros. isn’t holding back for the home video release.

The Man of Steel has been featured heavily throughout the home video marketing campaign, from being added to existing posters to a pretty funny “bromance” ad featuring Batman. Now, Superman gets the spotlight to himself, courtesy of a character poster released on the film’s Twitter account.

The poster is a beauty and as good as the other League posters that have come out in the last few weeks. This raises the question: where the heck were these during the original marketing campaign? WB had usually gone all out to promote their DC properties in the past, but fans noticed that wasn’t the same with Justice League. Instead, we got uninspired Photoshop posters.

And, of course, this brings up the old back-and-forth over whether Superman should’ve been a part of the campaign leading into the theatrical release. Many have argued he should’ve been there – his brief appearance in one of the trailers generated a lot of excitement in the fanbase. Others have argued that showing the Last Son of Krypton would’ve had a negative effect on the film – like Doomsday being revealed in one of the Batman v. Superman trailers. I guess the old adage “better late than never” applies in these situations.

Regardless of which side of the fence you’re on, it’s great to see Superman being featured after being left on the bench during the initial marketing run.

Justice League is now available on digital platforms and the Blu-Ray will be released on March 13.
