New DEADPOOL 2 Poster Takes Aim At Another 80s Classic!

Read Time:1 Minute, 1 Second

Just as Deadpool concluded with a great riff on one of the original post-credit sequences- the one from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off– and the first poster for the sequel was riff on Bob RossDeadpool 2‘s new poster has some fun with another lovable 80s relic. This time around, Ryan Reynolds has a good laugh while referencing Flashdance.

Reynolds just tweeted out a new Deadpool 2 poster, which references this iconic shot from the Jennifer Beals hit from 1983:

Here’s Deadpool’s take on it:

The caption, fittingly, reads “Take your passion. And make it happen.

Deadpool 2, directed by David Leitch (John Wick), comes out on May 18. That’s right smack dab between Avengers: Infinity War (May 4) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25). It’ll be interesting to see if it gets swallowed up by those two behemoths, or if it’s able to set itself apart from those in a way that gives it legs.

It’ll star Reynolds, T.J. Miller, Josh Brolin, and Zazie Beetz.

Side Note: Coincidentally, this poster ties in quite nicely with something you’ll hear on today’s edition of The Revengers Podcast, which was recorded last night; Long before Reynolds tweeted this out this morning! Stay tuned.
