We’re officially less than a month away from the arrival of Marvel’s Black Panther to theaters and, while it doesn’t seem to need any help getting people to board the hype train, promotion for the film is starting to ramp up. Star Chadwick Boseman just appeared on The Ellen Show to give audiences a taste of what he and director Ryan Coogler cooked up for this seminal superhero film. From that appearance, we got our first official clip from the movie!
You can check it out here, as it plays prior to Boseman’s interview on the show:
There’s also a brand spankin’ new Black Panther featurette, called “Wakanda Revealed,” which you can check out right here:
After the death of his father, T’Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king — and as Black Panther — gets tested when he’s drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people.
Black Panther will claw his way into theaters on February 16th. The film also stars Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis.
